U.S. State Wine Production

U.S. Wine Production Continues Downward Trend in 2025

United States wine production in 2025 was 558.7 million gallons, a decline of about 14.7% from 2024. In fact, 2025 is now the fourth year in a row of declining U.S. wine production.

California continued to dominate wine production, accounting for 79.3% of the nation’s total in 2025. Washington state displaced New York as the nation’s number two wine producer in 2025, accounting for 4.4% of the U.S. total, and New York fell to third accounting for 4.2%. Oregon continued to hold steady in fourth position accounting for 2.8% in 2025.
