A wall map of the Loire Valley wine region in France. The map depicts the delimited wine appellations/Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC) of the four sub-regions in the Loire Valley. The map includes descriptions of each of the sub-regions and what makes each unique, the principal black and white grape varieties for each, and the authorized wine type for every AOC. Three map insets depict in greater detail the appellations around Nantes, from Anjou to Tours, and around Saumur.
All base map information is originally digitized from satellite imagery. Map includes digital shaded relief. All wine-related content is derived from official national sources and regional wine associations.
