Corsica Wine Map

France’s “Isle of Beauty”, Corsica is dominated by mountains and spectacular vistas, with more than 30 traditional grape varieties. The island’s wine history is ancient, dating back at least 2,500 years. Once ruled by Italy, Corsica is a blend of French and Italian cultures, thus explaining why its native grapes are more Italian than French. Today, the island’s coastline is nearly entirely covered by wine appellations.

A wall map of the wine regions of Corsica in France. The map depicts all delimited wine appellations/Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) on the island, and includes the principal black and white grape varieties and authorized wine type for every AOC.

All base map information is originally digitized from satellite imagery. Map includes digital shaded relief. All wine-related content is derived from official national sources and regional wine associations.
