Finger Lakes Wine Map

New York state ranks third in the U.S. in wine production and the jewel in the state’s wine crown is the Finger Lakes American Viticultural Area (AVA). The Finger Lakes is not only New York’s largest AVA, it is also globally renowned for world-class Riesling wines and other notable white and cool-climate red wines. More than a distinctive geographic feature, the region’s unique glacial lakes is exactly what creates the microclimate necessary for viticulture at such a northern latitude.
